News from POLARIS: 18 November 2016
The National Human Trafficking Resource Center hotline is now the National Human Trafficking Hotline. If you promote the hotline, or link to its website, please note that the hotline’s website URL and email address are also changing:
National Human Trafficking Hotline
From the U.S. citizen sex trafficking victim in Los Angeles to the foreign national labor trafficking victim in rural Ohio, the National Hotline staff are trained to listen to survivors, provide safety planning, and help them understand their options for support without judgment. Your help in spreading the word about the hotline is critical to efforts to reach even more survivors across the country.
Read the 2013 reportof the Michigan Attorney General's Human Trafficking Commission. It includes many recommendations for legislative action, some of which have been accomplished.
OUR SISTERS does not engage in legislative lobbying, but if you are concerned about the passage and implementation of practical state laws to help the victims and survivors of trafficking, read the report and make your views known to your state representative and senator.
